Country with a Hard Edge
Ryan Jay, a country artist from Detroit, MI, grew up on the sounds of legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, and Keith Whitley. He began his musical journey in 2012 and has since toured across the United States—playing everywhere from major festivals to opening for national acts like Randy Houser, Bryan Martin, Chase Matthew, Lindsay Ell, Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson, Lakeview and more. The country music world is starting to take notice.
In 2021, Ryan released his debut EP "Plymouth Rock Sessions: Unplugged" and has since followed it up with several singles, including "I Know" —a heartfelt track that’s received airplay on FM radio stations nationwide.
Ryan’s music is best described as heartfelt, honest, and unapologetically bold. “A lot of my songs are about my life, and as I get older, I don’t hold back what I’m feeling—and what I feel is what I write.”
Drawing inspiration from artists like Jamey Johnson, Cody Jinks, Eric Church, and even Metallica, Ryan defines his sound as “country with a hard edge.” Songwriting, for him, is more than a craft—it’s a form of therapy. He writes to process life’s challenges and hopes his words help others facing similar struggles.
Ryan Jay's Debut Album "The Devil Gets In The Way" is Out Now and streaming everywhere!
